A Complete System for Assessment and Treatment

Dāo Needle Therapy is a distinct needling system designed for working with chronic pain, scar tissue, and complex musculoskeletal conditions. It brings together traditional meridian theory and modern biomechanical assessment using biomechanical testing, patient positioning, Ashi point grading, traditional and fascial meridians, and a specialized Dāo needle.

The system can be used on its own or incorporated alongside acupuncture, dry needling, manual therapy, and other treatment methods.

Three Days of Hands-On Training

The Denver course combines the two-day Dāo Needle Therapy Foundation Certification Course with the one-day Master Class.

The first two days establish the system’s foundational assessment and treatment methods. The third day builds on that material with more advanced applications for complex and chronic presentations.

The course includes instruction, live demonstrations, practical exercises, and direct feedback from Brian.

November 7–8

Foundations Course

The Foundation Course introduces the principles, assessment methods, and needling techniques used throughout Dāo Needle Therapy. Students will learn a clear process for evaluating dysfunction, selecting treatment priorities, and applying the techniques in practice.

  • Apply biomechanical testing to help identify dysfunction
  • Use Ashi point grading to determine treatment priorities
  • Understand Ashi points as diagnostic guides and therapeutic meters
  • Differentiate active and passive Ashi points
  • Identify dysfunction versus compensation
  • Use patient positioning during assessment and treatment
  • Understand the differences between dry needling and Dāo Needle Therapy
  • Practice treatments and protocols for common pain presentations
  • Gain hands-on experience with the specialized Dāo needle

  • Work through more complex and chronic presentations
  • Refine assessment and treatment flow
  • Integrate multiple techniques and protocols
  • Develop greater precision and efficiency
  • Expand the application of Dāo Needle Therapy within clinical practice
  • Practice advanced treatments through demonstrations and hands-on exercises

The Master Class is designed for practitioners who have completed the Foundation Course. This Denver program includes both Foundations and the Master Class in one three-day training.
